About the Workshops

All workshops are facilitated by Jane Hart.

These are not traditional online courses; they are guided social learning experiences hosted in our Slack-powered MWL Community – hence the emphasis is on conversation and discussion between the participants.

Each week Jane will provide

  • some guided reading from the MWL 2020 book/resource
  • one or more tasks for you to work on individually – in your own time – in which you apply the ideas from the readings to your own work context.

You are then encouraged to share your thoughts,  ideas and work in the private group space.

Note: there are NO synchronous activities, so the workshops are suitable for any timezone.

Nothing is compulsory, but you will find that the more you “work out loud” with the other participants, the more you will get out of the workshop. In other words, if you only want the content, it is recommended you just buy access to the online book/resource.

You will probably want to commit a couple of hours a week for this workshop, but once again it is up to you how much time you
devote to it, and also when you do the work and how you fit it into your life.

Some Feedback

“A big thank you for hosting this workshop Jane and to all the participants who
participated. I learned a lot from the
activities and I am integrating what I learned into my work with nonprofit organizations. Modern Workplace Learning is such a simple way to convey the continuum of activities, mindsets, models
and strategies that make up this work we are doing.”

“I have really enjoyed this workshop, so I have booked my whole team on the next one so they can experience a modern social
learning experience – of people sharing their thoughts and experiences from across the globe and from different types of
organisations.
