Join a virtual wine tasting

Just a few weeks ago, most people would have laughed at the idea of virtual booze tastings, conducted over platforms like Zoom. Now, because of the coronavirus lockdown, at any hour of the day you’ll find screens full of squares of people from all walks of life holding glasses of different shapes and sizes swirling, sniffing, sipping and connecting virtually over a taste.

Join the Not in a Pub quiz (on Wednesday evenings)

Obviously the Country is going through a bit of a rough patch, pubs are closed, people aren’t allowed out because they have been grounded by Boris Johnson and boredom is setting in.

We’ve had hundreds of messages (bit of a lie, we had a few) from people who miss their regular quiz nights and seeing as we are now unemployed and have all the time in the world to potter about and make stuff that breaks we thought we’d do something about it.

So every Wednesday at 8pm [UK time] we are hosting our little online quiz, it’s free to enter and there are no prizes (we have no money) but it might help ease the boredom of being grounded.

A virtual session is more than a lecture with uploaded PowerPoints. Live virtual sessions use engagement techniques that compel learners to participate throughout the session. Even the most experienced trainers can feel overwhelmed when delivering virtual sessions. Managing software functions, displaying content, and delivering a clear verbal message all while engaging and responding to participants is understandably difficult, but it doesn’t have to be! Attend this event and learn best practices that will help you conduct your own virtual sessions successfully.
