\"\"Today, Monday 24 September, I released the Top Tools for Learning 2018<\/a>, which I compiled from the results of the 12th Annual Digital Learning Tools Survey.<\/p>\n

I have also categorised the tools into 30 different areas, and produced 3 sub-lists that provide some context to how the tools are being used:<\/p>\n

  1. Top 100 Tools for Personal & Professional Learning 2018 (PPL100)<\/strong>: the digital tools used by individuals\u00a0for their own\u00a0self-improvement, learning and development – both inside and outside the workplace.<\/li>\n
  2. Top 100 Tools for Workplace Learning (WPL100)<\/strong>: the digital tools used\u00a0to design, deliver, enable and\/or support learning in the workplace.<\/li>\n
  3. Top 100 Tools for Education (EDU100<\/strong>):\u00a0the digital tools used by educators and students\u00a0in schools, colleges, universities, adult education etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Every vote was manually processed in order to get a picture of this year’s contributors (as well as mitigate gaming of the voting). This year’s list is therefore the next episode in this longitudinal study that not just identifies the popularity of tools for learning, but also gives an indication of current learning behaviour.<\/p>\n

    At first glance you might think there is very little difference in the list from last year (as the usual suspects loom large in it) but there have in fact been some significant movements as well 29 new entrants.<\/p>\n

    First, a few words about the voters:<\/p>\n
